For as long as I can remember, I've been captivated by the stories of women who defied the odds and made their mark on history—especially the legendary pirate queens. Now, I have the incredible opportunity to travel to Ireland for a Pirate Queens residency, where I'll be researching women pirates like Grace O'Malley and exploring my own family ancestry. This residency is a dream come true and a vital step in my lifelong artistic goal: to visit all the ports of call connected to these remarkable women, and to create artwork that brings their stories and their history to life.

While this journey is thrilling, it also comes with significant financial challenges. I will be away from home for 30 days, which means I won't be able to earn an income during that time. The funds raised here will help cover my travel expenses—airfare, accommodations, research costs like museum visits and tours, and local transportation—as well as my bills and mortgage at home. Your support will allow me to focus fully on my research and creative work, without the stress of financial uncertainty.
